Ruoyang is a designer with a master of architecture(M. Arch II) degree from UCLA. In June 2020, she graduated with distinction from Urban Strategy Studio led by Jeffrey Inaba, David Jimenez Iniesta, and Gillian Shaffer. Her graduate research focuses on Los Angeles land value and freeways.
Ruoyang holds a Bachelor of Architecture honor's degree from Sichuan University, China. During her undergraduate years, she spent 5 months at Tamkang University, Taiwan as an exchange student. Due to her rich experience living in various cities and countries, she is sensitive and enthusiastic about the cultural identity of the built environment and how space, materials, and details react to it. She believes design brings happiness, and architecture is the kaleidoscope that helps her perceive the world in multiple dimensions.
